Series of work
The combination of paintings to more thoroughly explore the nature of irrational numbers.
THE FIRST 10,660 DIGITS OF PHI
Using colours inspired by nature, this series of five paintings will consist of the first 10,660 digits of phi. The number phi, commonly called the golden ratio, is a mathematical concept recognized since ancient Greek times. Similar to pi and e, it is an irrational number, meaning its decimal expansion continues infinitely without repeating.
Currently, a work in progress, each painting will consist of 2,132 digits of phi, with each triangle using a specific colour to depict a particular number, therefore, expressing the phi number sequence through the use of colour. I am also adding braille to lend to the understanding of which colour corresponds to which number.

THE FIRST 5,780 DIGITS OF PI
Using colours inspired by nature, this series of five paintings consists of the first 5,760 digits of Pi. Similar to the Phi Series, currently a work in progress; each painting will consist of 1,156 digits of pi, with each square using a specific colour to depict a particular number, therefore, expressing the pi number sequence through the use of colour. I am also adding braille to lend to the understanding of which colour corresponds to which number.
