Coloured triangles and braille depicting the first 2,132 digits of phi. Framed using Tasmanian oak.

The first 2,132 digits of phi

Info:

Acrylic on Canvas, 63 x 95cm

Year:

2025

Inspired by the crashing ocean, this painting represents the first 2,132 digits of the golden ratio (phi). First in a series of five paintings, this artwork visually explores how this particular irrational number presents itself.

Each colour represents a particular number, with the wooden triangles representing the number 9. I have included braille for better understanding as to which colour corresponds to which number.

Framed using brown Japan wood-stained Tasmanian oak.
