The first 1,156 digits of pi

Info:

Acrylic on Canvas, 63 x 63cm

Year:

2025

Inspired by forest green, this painting represents the first 1,156 digits of the pi. First in a series of five paintings, this artwork visually explores how this particular irrational number presents itself.

Each colour represents a particular number, with the wooden squares representing the number 9. I have included braille for better understanding as to which colour corresponds to which number.

Framed using hazelnut-stained pine wood.
